Indian company to invest $9.77 million in Bangladesh

Dhaka, Bangladesh (BBN)- An Indian company will set up a Woven & Knit Garments Industry in Dhaka Export Processing Zone of Bangladesh involving US$ 9.776 million or about BDT 670 million.

This 100 per cent foreign owned company, M/s. Lenny Apparels Limited, will also create employment opportunity for 1620 Bangladeshis and 61 foreign nationals.

 

An agreement to this effect was signed between the Bangladesh Export Processing Zones Authority (BEPZA) and M/s. Lenny Apparels Limited at BEPZA Complex in the capital, Dhaka on Monday, according to reports.

BEPZA member Prasanta Bhushan Barua and Chief Executive Officer of Lenny Apparels Waseem M Siddiqui signed the agreement on behalf of their respective organization.
