Dhaka, Bangladesh (BBN)- M/s. BD Designs Private Limited, an Indian company, will set up a garments industry in Karnaphuli Export Processing Zone.
This fully foreign owned company will invest US$ 8.919 million for setting up their plant with annual production capacity of 3.4 million pcs. of Jacket, Pant, Shirt, T-shirt, Suits, Under Garments & Ladies Wear items. BD Designs company will create employment opportunity for 4592 Bangladeshi nationals.
An agreement to this effect was signed between Bangladesh Export Processing Zones Authority and M/s. BD Designs Private Limited at the BEPZA Complex in Dhaka on Thursday.
Sayed Nurul Islam, Member Investment Promotion of BEPZA and Naseer Humayun, Managing Director of M/s. BD Designs Private Limited signed the agreement on behalf of their respective organizations.
Major General K M Mominur Rahman, afwc, psc, Executive Chairman, Nazma Binte Alamgir, General Manager (Public Relations), Khorshid Alam, General Manager (Investment Promotion) and other officials were present at the signing ceremony.
