Indian Navy, Coast Guard Ships arrive in Bangladesh for four-day visit

Chittagong, Bangladesh (BBN)- Indian Navy Ship INS SUJATA and Coast Guard Ship ICGS VARUNA arrived Chittagong Port Jetty arrived here on Saturday for a 4-day welcome visit to Bangladesh.
On the arrival of the visiting Indian ships with a total of 380 personnel including officers and Ships Company (sailors) at Chittagong Port were received by Commanding Officer of BNS ISSAKHAN Captain ATGM Sarkar, BN while Assistant Defence Adviser of India were present, an ISPR statement said.
During their visit Commanding Officers of Indian ships will pay courtesy call on area commanders of Chittagong Naval Area. Besides, officers and Ships Company (Sailors) of visiting ships will visit different BN Ships and Establishments of Chittagong area including BNS SHAHEED MOAZZAM at Kaptai.
It is expected that the existing friendly relations between Bangladesh Navy and Indian Navy will be more enhancing through this visit.
Earlier, as per naval tradition BNS SANGU received the Indian Ships at the Bay of Bengal. The visiting Indian ships, as per visit schedule, will leave Bangladesh on October 2, it added.
