Mumbai, India (BBN)-Indian rupee recovered 17 paise at 63.96 against the dollar in early trade on Monday, snapping its two-day losing run, on fresh selling of the US currency by exporters amid fall in global crude prices.
Forex dealers said a weakening dollar against some currencies overseas and early gains in domestic equity markets supported the rupee, report PTI.
The rupee had shed 9 paise to end at 64.13 against the US dollar on Friday on sustained demand for the American currency from banks and importers.
