Indian rupee trading higher by 10 paisa at 64.54

Mumbai, India (BBN) – Indian rupee opened 15 paisa higher at 64.49 per dollar on selling of the US dollar by banks and exporters.
The rupee traded between 64.63 and 64.43 in intra-day deals, reports the PTI.
At about 4.30 pm, the domestic currency was trading up at 64.54.
The rupee had closed with gains of 20 paisa at 64.64 a dollar at the Interbank Foreign Exchange market on Friday.
The rupee was supported by higher equity markets, dealers said.
However, the US dollar’s strength against major goobal currencies overseas capped the rupee’s gain, they added.
