Dhaka, Bangladesh (BBN) – Apollo Tyres, one of India’s leading tyre manufacturers has tied up with Rahimafrooz Group of Bangladesh for the distribution of its tyres in the South Asian country.

“We’ve been looking at expansion plans for our product range and Apollo compliments us best,” Mudassir Moin, managing director of Rahimafrooz Distribution said at the launching ceremony of the tyre brand in the capital, Dhaka on Tuesday evening.

Bangladesh is predominantly a cross-ply tyre market in the commercial segment with a replacement market size of over 45,000 and 30,000 heavy and light commercial tyres a month.

“Bangladesh is predominantly a cross-ply market and that is where, we can create value for our customers in fuel economy and service, Rajesh Kumar, head (International Sales) of Apollo Tyres said adding that Rahimafrooz Group, with its aspirations is a perfect partner for us, with its robust network, trained sales force and service back up.

Apart from Bangladesh, Apollo Tyres exports to more than 70 countries across the world. Apollo manufactures in three continents and has four plants in India by name Apollo Tyres Ltd, four units in Southern Africa, Apollo Tyres South Africa Pty Ltd and one in the Netherlands Apollo Vredestein BV. Its key brands are Apollo, Vredestein, Regal, Maloya and Dunlop in 32 African countries.

The Rahimafrooz Group has more than ten exclusive outlets along with a largest distribution network of more than 500 dealers and retailers across the country, with a direct contact with nearly all kinds of vehicle owners and drivers.
