Indo- Bangla Garments industry to invest $18.02 million in Adamjee EPZ

Dhaka, Bangladesh (BBN)- Indian and Bangladeshi joint venture company M/s. Remi Holdings Ltd is going to set up garments industry in Adamjee Export Processing Zone of Bangladesh. 
 
This jointly owned company will invest US$18.02 million for setting up their plant with annual production capacity of 3000,000 kg of various garments and knitwear items. Remi Holdings Ltd will create employment opportunity for 5,305 Bangladeshi nationals.
 
An agreement to this effect has signed between Bangladesh Export Processing Zones Authority and M/s. Remi Holdings Ltd in BEPZA Complex, Dhaka on Thursday. Sayed Nurul Islam, Member (Investment Promotion) of BEPZA and Mrs. Sarah Ali, Director of M/s. Remi Holdings Ltd. signed the agreement on behalf of their respective organizations.
 
Major General K M Mominur Rahman, afwc, psc, Executive Chairman, Mr. A K M Mahbubur Rahman, Member (Finance), Mr. Md. Shawkat Nabi, Secretary, Mrs. Nazma Binte Alamgir, General Manager (Public Relations), Mr. Md. Khorshid Alam, General Manager (Investment Promotion) of BEPZA and other officials of both side were present at the signing ceremony.
