Industrial police start journey in Bangladesh

Dhaka, Bangladesh (BBN)- The industrial police force formally started its journey on Sunday aiming to ensure peace and discipline in the country's four industrial zones.

Home Minister Sahara Khatun inaugurated a 10-day training program in the morning at Police Staff College in Dhaka. The force is expected to join work after the training program.

A total of 26 police officials including additional superintendent of police, assistant superintendent of police and inspectors took part in the training session, according to reports.

The total members of the force are 2,990. Initially the force started work having 1,580 members dividing into four units in Dhaka, Gazipur, Narayanganj and Chittagong.
