Dhaka, Bangladesh (BBN) - A two-day grand festival titled ‘Fifth International Cultural and Tourism Festival 2012’ will begin in the capital Dhaka on February 25 to promote tourism and build strong relationship with other countries.
Better Bangladesh Foundation (BBF) in association with Dhaka Language Club (DLC) will jointly arrange the event to be held at Wonderland Park in the city. Bangladesh Tourism Corporation is the partner of the event.
Ambassadors of Turkey, Indonesia, South Korea, China, Brazil, Singapore, Sri Lanka, the Maldives, Bhutan, Nepal, the UK, Germany, the USA and Iran are likely to join the grand festival, organizers said.
Civil Aviation and Tourism Minister Faruk Khan is expected to inaugurate the festival.
Cultural programs by different countries and missions, cultural rallies, food festival, fire spinning, pottery painting competition, films shows, traditional dances and Ikebana contest will be held during the two-day festival.
