Dhaka, Bangladesh (BBN) – A three-day international tourism fair begins next month in the capital Dhaka to promote Bangladesh as an attractive tourist spot in the region.

The Bangladesh International Tourism Fair (BITF) will be held between 19-21 June at the Bangabandhu International Conference Centre (BICC) in Dhaka.

The decision was taken at a meeting of the managing committee of Bangladesh Foundation for Tourism Development (BFTD) on Monday presided over by its chairman HM Hakim Ali.

More than 51 participants from home and abroad will take part in the fair.

Tour operators, travel agents, meet and greet companies, airlines, hospitals, flying clubs, air express companies, cruise operators, hotels, motels, tourism property developers, theme or amusement parks, railways, coach operators, biking societies, photography, online travel planners, beach game organisers, national and regional tourist organisations, and clinics will showcase their diverse products and services.

Bhutan and Malaysia will hold cultural shows. Two ministers and a mayor from a developed country and top government officials will remain present in the fair, the BFTD said.
