Dhaka, Bangladesh (BBN) – Konabari Branch of Islami Bank Bangladesh Limited was inaugurated as its 257th Branch at Konabari in Gazipur district on Monday.
Engineer Mustafa Anwar, Vice Chairman of the Bank inaugurated the branch as chief guest. Presided over by Mohd. Shamsul Haque, Deputy Managing Director and Engineer Md. Dawood Khan, Sponsor Director of the bank were present as special guest in the function.
Mustafa Anwar said Islami Bank has been playing vital role in socio-economic development of the country since its inception. He said that this bank serves all class of people including the downtrodden people.
Muhammad Dawood Khan said in his speech that Islami Bank has stood by the people of the country during all the disasters. He sought help from all to continue the flow of success. He called upon the officials of the Bank to carry the service of IBBL to common people.
Mohd. Shamsul Haque said that many bank introduced Islamic Banking being inspired with the success of IBBL since the inception of the Bank in 1983. He said that IBBL is conducting social welfare activities besides banking activities.
