Islami Bank to ensure Shariah compliance

Dhaka, Bangladesh (BBN)– Islami Bank Bangladesh Limited (IBBL) is determined to ensure the compliance of Islamic Shariah, Managing Director of the bank Mohammad Abdul Mannan said.

The IBBL chief executive also called upon the clients to cooperate with the bank so that it can move ahead with its plan.

Mohammad Mannan was addressing as the chief guest at a views-exchange meeting on ‘Awareness for Shariah Compliance in Banking Management’ at Mohammad Younis Auditorium in the capital Dhaka on Saturday.

Deputy Managing Director of the bank Sayed Abdullah Mohammad Saleh, Executive Vice President and Head of Dhaka North Zone M Kabir Hossain and associate Prof of Dawah and Islamic Studies Department, Islamic University Kustia Dr ASM Tariqul Islam, among others, spoke on the occasion.
