Islamic University closed for indefinite period

Kustia, Bangladesh (BBN)-Islamic University in Kustia, a western district of Bangladesh, has been closed for an indefinite period after an intra-clash between two groups Bangladesh Chhatra League (BCL).
The authorities of the versity took the decision during an emergency meeting on Saturday to avoid untoward incident.
The authorities also asked the students to vacate all the halls by 5:00pm today.
A clash ensued between the two groups when whey brought out separate processions on the campus today.
On information, police rushed to the spot and opened fire in the air to bring the situation under control. Additional police have been deployed on the campus to avert further trouble.
Earlier on Thursday, the two groups engaged in clash over the same issue which left eight students injured.
