Dhaka, Bangladesh (BBN)– The first year honors admission test of Jahangirnagar University (JU) for 2011- 2012 session will be held on October 8 to 17 this year.
The admission form distribution will be started from August 23 and it will close on September 15, JU Pro Vice Chancellor Professor Mohammad Farhad Hossain said on Monday.
He also said the authorities have increased 300 seats in this academic session to meet the growing needs of students in honors level under three new departments including Journalism and Media Studies, Public Health and Law.
The admission forms and results will be available on the website of the university www.junive.edu/admission.php.
The applicants have been asked to collect their forms from the website and respective dean offices from 8.00 am to 1.30 pm.
The university has introduced unit-based Multiple Choice Question (MCQ) system instead of traditional subject-based MCQ system in 2010.
The total marks of the test will be 200 marks while 100 marks on MCQ based written test and lefts 100 on results of Secondary School Certificate (SSC) and Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC).
