Dhaka, Bangladesh (BBN) - Politicians and journalists have discussed the life and works of journalist Pathik Saha at a commemorative program that was organized to mark his first anniversary of death.
They acclaimed and highly praised Pathik’s dedication to journalism and politics.
Sangbadik Pathik Saha Smriti Sangsad organized the program at the Dhaka Reporter’s Unity in the capital on Friday.
Former chief reporter of Bengali daily Bangladesh Pratidin, Pathik Saha died at a city hospital on January 29, 2011 at the age of forty-five.
He was also general secretary of Dhaka Reporter’s Unity, Awami Shwechchhasebak League’s information and research secretary and organizing secretary of Bangladesh Students’ Union.
Awami League joint general secretary Mahbubul Alam Hanif, publicity secretary Nuh-ul-Alam, also president of Sangbadik Pathik Saha Smriti Sangsad, Jatiya Samajtantrik Dal leader Shirin Akhter, Former Kendriya Khelaghar Asar general secretary Pranay Saha, also Pathik’s elder brother, Bangladesh Federal Union of Journalist secretary general Abdul Jalil, joint general secretary Saiful Islam Talukder, former president of Dhaka Union of Journalists Kazi Rafiq, former secretary general Omar Farukh and DRU general secretary Sajjad Alam Khan, among others, spoke on the occasion.
