KFC, Pizza Hut to launch World Hunger Relief Campaign Thursday

Dhaka, Bangladesh (BBN)- KFC and Pizza Hut in cooperation with United Nations World Food Program (WFP) will launch World Hunger Relief Campaign on Thursday.

WFP Country Director in Bangladesh Christa Rader and Executive Director of Transcom Foods Limited Akku Chowdhury will launch the campaign at KFC, Gulshan in the capital Dhaka at 11am (local time), a announcement said on Wednesday.

Country’s noted celebrities will also be present at the ceremony to support the campaign.

The campaign is aimed at raising wider awareness about hunger and support WFP’s efforts to provide meals to children in schools, helping ensure that they achieve education-one of the most critical steps necessary to overcome poverty and hunger.
