Korean company to invest $7.55 million in Bangladesh

Dhaka, Bangladesh (BBN) - M/s A & A Traveling Bangladesh Limited, a Korean company, will set up a bag manufacturing industry in the Ishwardi Export Processing Zone (EPZ) involving about US$7.55 million.

In this connection, an agreement was signed between the Bangladesh Export Processing Zones Authority (BEPZA) and M/s A & A Traveling Bangladesh in the capital Dhaka on Wednesday.

General Manager (Investment Promotion) of the BEPZA AZM Azizur Rahman and Chairman of M/s A & A Traveling Bangladesh Won Chun Cho signed the agreement on behalf of their respective organizations, a press statement said.

The fully foreign owned company will manufacture bag items at its unit and will create employment opportunity for 1338 Bangladeshi nationals.

Among others, Executive Chairman of the Major General ATM Shahidul Islam, Secretary Md Shawkat Nabi and General Manager (Public Relations) Mahmud Hasan were present at the deal signing ceremony.
