Dhaka, Bangladesh (BBN) – Lafarge Surma Cement emerged as the day’s top turnover leader on Wednesday with shares worth BDT 404.57 million changing hands on the Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE).
It was followed by GP worth shares BDT 383.79 million, Square Pharmaceuticals BDT 334.56 million, MJL BD BDT 249.30 million, BSRM Steels BDT 166.65 million, Generation Next Fashion BDT 137.56 million, Eastern Housing 120.60 million, BSCCL BDT 107.47 million, Meghna Petroleum BDT 92.73 million and Olympic Industries worth BDT 86.09 million changing hands.
Lafarge Surma Cement — the cement sector company — also the day’s worst loser, slumping by 7.75 percent on the day. Following this, the cement sector disappointed the investors, losing 4.25 percent.
