Dhaka, Bangladesh (BBN)-Lafarge Surma Cement Ltd. dominated the week’s top turnover chart on the Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) last week that ended on Wednesday.
A total of 14.30 million shares of Lafagre Surma were traded worth BDT 1.23 billion changing hands during the week.
Daily average turnover for the multinational cement maker was BDT 308 million.
The company’s share closed at BDT 89.3 on Wednesday, the last session of the week, registering a decline of 0.56 per cent over the previous week.
The merger of Holcim and Lafarge has been completed on July 10, and LafargeHolcim has emerged as the largest aggregate producer in the world.
The company listed on the Dhaka bourse in 2003.
The company is belonging in the category of A.
Of the total shares, 64.64 per cent held by sponsor/directors, 12.67 per cent held by institutional investors while rest of 22.69 percent held by public, according to DSE website information.
As per un-audited Q3 financial report, consolidated earnings per share (EPS) was BDT 0.32 for July-September, 2015 as against Tk. 0.61 for July-September, 2014.
Consolidated EPS was BDT 1.48 for January-September, 2015 as against BDT 1.82 for January-September, 2014.
Consolidated net operating cash flow per share (NOCFPS) was BDT 1.24 for January-September, 2015 as against BDT 1.98 for January-September, 2014.
Consolidated NAV per share was BDT 11.87 as of September 30, 2015 and BDT 11.41 as of December 31, 2014.
After Lafarge Surma Cement, the week’s other top turnover leaders were Beximco Phrama BDT 526 million changing hands followed by KDS Accessories BDT 475 million, BSRM Steels BDT 402 million and GP BDT 347 million changed hands.
Emerald Oil also came to the list with share worth BDT 313 million changed hands followed by Mozaffar Hossain Spinning Mills BDT 304 million, Aman Feed BDT 293 million, Saif Powertec BDT 274 million and IFAD Autos worth BDT 263 million changed hands during the week.
