Bandarban, Bangladesh (BBN)– At least six people including a child were killed in a landslide in the country’s south-eastern Bandarban district on early Saturday, police said.
The incident took place at hospital area in Lama upazila (sub-district) of the hill district at around 2:00 am on Saturday, a local police official confirmed.
The police official also said the residents of the house were all sleeping when the incident took place in the area.
Four people injured and two went missing in the landslide triggered by heavy rain in area.
The district authorities earlier advised the residents of seven upazilas who were living in risky zones near the mountains to move to safe places.
