Moulvibazar, Bangladesh (BBN) – Three members of a family were killed in an incident of rain-triggered landslide at a tea garden in the country’s north-eastern Moulvibazar district on Saturday morning, police said.

The incident occurred at 9:00 am (local time) at Baralekha upazila  of the district when a heavy chunk of mud from a hill beside, loosened by rain, collapsed on the house of a tea garden worker, leaving him, his wife and daughter dead on the spot, a local police official confirmed.

Some electric poles were also damaged during the rain, leaving some parts of the district without electricity.
