Dhaka, Bangladesh (BBN) – The third quarter (Q3) profit of LankaBangla Finance fell drastically by 280.08 percent or BDT 174.13 million in (July-Sept’14) compared to the previous year in the same period, according to an office disclosure on Tuesday.
As per un-audited quarterly accounts for the 3rd quarter ended on 30th September 2014, the company has reported consolidated net profit after tax (excluding non-controlling interests) of BDT 62.17 million with consolidated EPS of BDT 0.28 as against BDT 236.30 million and BDT 1.08 respectively for the same period of the previous year.
Whereas consolidated net profit after tax (excluding non-controlling interests) was BDT 212.90 million with consolidated EPS of BDT 0.97 for the period of nine months (Jan’14 to Sep’14) ended on 30.09.2014 as against BDT 429.16 million and BDT 1.96 respectively for the same period of the previous year.
An official said that a big amount of provisioning has cut the net profit of the company.
