Dhaka, Bangladesh (BBN) - More than 50 people were injured in a head-on-collision between two launches crossing in the country’s southwestern district Patuakhali on early Tuesday.
Nine people also went missing in the incident, a local administration official confirmed.
The accident took place at about 3:30am (local time) when a launch hit another one at Char Goradi canal in Dumki upazila of the district, leaving over nine missing and 50 injured from both the launches, according to reports.
Both the launches were plying on the route to manage the Eid rush.
