Seoul, South Korea (BBN)-Interested in an Android Wear device with an extra bit of glamour attached? Your thirst might be quenched with the LG Watch Urbane Luxe, a premium, gold-plated version of the company’s LG Watch Urbane smartwatch.
Otherwise identical to its cheaper namesake, the Luxe- created in collaboration with Reeds Jewelers- is plated with 23-karat gold, and comes with an alligator leather strap as well as a piano-gloss lacquer case, reports the Mashable.
The original LG Watch Urbane did not fare too well in our review, but it was (and still is) one of the few Android Wear devices that you could call fancy.
Luxury does not come cheap; the price tag of $1,200 is obviously much higher than the price of the regular Urbane ($349), but still far, far below the $10,000+ Apple is asking for a gold version of its Watch.
There will only be 500 of these limited edition babies; in the U.S., you’ll be able to pre-order one at “later this month,” with actual availability starting at the end of October.
