Dhaka, Bangladesh (BBN)– Lucas Vos, chief commercial officer of Maersk Line, one of the leading liner shipping companies in the world is now in the capital Dhaka to celebrate 20 years operation of Maersk Bangladesh Ltd. 
The company is part of the A.P. Moller – Maersk Group. Maersk Line has over 25,000 employees across 325 offices in more than 125 countries. With over 600 container vessels and more than 3.5 million containers, Maersk Line ensures reliable and comprehensive worldwide coverage. 
Maersk Line was one of the pioneers to start containerized export and import in Bangladesh in the mid-eighties. On this visit Mr. Vos will be welcomed by Mr. Shamimul Huq, the first Bangladeshi to be appointed Managing Director of Maersk Bangladesh Ltd; a feat Maersk Line takes huge pride in as it is testament to their commitment to develop local talents to takeover senior leadership positions in the A P Moller world. Prior to taking over his role as the MD of Maersk Bangladesh, Mr. Huq was serving as the MD of Maersk Line in Ghana, West Africa.
Mr. Lucas Vos joined Maersk Line’s management board in 2008 and was most recently the overall responsible head of IT, Global Service Centers, Process Excellence, HR and Strategy Execution in Maersk Line. 
He has vast international experience within container logistics, ranging from terminal operations, inland transportation to marketing and sales. Lucas joined Maersk Line in 2006 as Area Manager of the France, Iberia and Maghreb offices, and started his career with P&O Nedlloyd and Royal Nedlloyd.
