Mahathir arrives in Bangladesh Saturday

Dhaka, Bangladesh (BBN)– Former Malaysian Prime Minister Dr Mahathir Bin Mohamad arrives here on Saturday to attend the second convocation of the University of Information, Technology and Sciences (UITS) to be held here on the same day.  

Dr Mahathir is scheduled to arrive at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport in Dhaka at 10:30 am on the day by a special aircraft, a UITS official confirmed.

President Abdul Hamid will preside over the convocation programme to be held at the Bangabandhu International Conference Centre at 3:00 pm.  

Dr Mahathir is likely to leave Dhaka at 9:30 am on Sunday, the official added.
