Dhaka, Bangladesh (BBN) - President of the Dhaka Chamber of Commerce and Industry (DCCI) M Sabur Khan today urged Malaysian investors to import more from Bangladesh and invest in power and energy, and infrastructure sectors.
Bangladesh and Malaysia have long been maintaining very good trade relations, he said and underlined the need for strengthening the trade ties by increasing communications among businessmen, said a message received in Dhaka on Friday.
The DCCI president sought Malaysian investment when he along with his delegation members held a business meeting with leaders of the Associated Chinese Chambers of Commerce and Industry (ACCCIM) in Malaysia on Thursday.
Sabur Khan said frequent visit of trade delegations within Bangladesh and Malaysia can help reduce the Dhaka-Kuala Lumpur trade gap.
He felt the necessity of signing memorandum of understanding with ACCCIM to boost two-way trade.
The 10-member DCCI trade delegation is now in Malaysia to explore business opportunities and strengthen bilateral trade relations.
