Dhaka, Bangladesh (BBN)-West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee arrived in Dhaka Friday evening, hours before Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s arrival for a two-day visit here.
A flight of Air India carrying Mamata touched the ground at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport in Dhaka around 8:30pm.
Earlier, Mamata was scheduled to come with Modi, but later, she changed the plan and came one day ahead of Modi’s visit.
The officials from the foreign ministry received Mamata at the airport in Dhaka, the capital city of Bangladesh.
Mamata is scheduled to return home on Saturday after signing the Land Boundary Agreement.
This is Mamata’s second visit in Bangladesh this year. Earlier in February, she came here on a three-day visit.
