Marico Bangladesh declares 250pc interim cash dividend

Dhaka, Bangladesh (BBN) - The board of directors of Marico Bangladesh Ltd has declared 250 percent interim cash dividend for the year ending on March 31, 2019, said an official disclosure on Sunday.

The multinational company declares the interim dividend based on six months financials for the period ended on September 30, 2018.

The record date for entitlement of interim cash dividends is on November 15, 2018.

The company has also reported earnings per share (EPS) of BDT 15.30 for July-September, 2018 as against BDT 14.49 for July-September, 2017.

In six months, EPS was BDT 32.92 for April-September, 2018 as against BDT 30.21 for April-September, 2017.

The net operating cash flow per share (NOCFPS) was BDT 46.70 for April-September, 2018 as against BDT 45.91 for April-September, 2017.

The net asset value (NAV) per share was BDT 55.30 as on September 30, 2018 and BDT 47.38 as on March 31, 2017.

There will be no price limit on the trading of the shares of the Company today following its corporate declaration.

Each share of the company closed at BDT 1148.20 on Thursday last at DSE.

The company, which was listed on the Dhaka bourse in 2009, disbursed 600 per cent cash dividend for the year ended on March 31, 2018.

The sponsor-directors own 90 percent stake in the company, while institutional investors own 2.76 percent, foreign investors 6.56 per cent and the general public only 0.68 percent as on September 30, 2016.

The company’s paid-up capital is BDT 315 million and authorised capital is BDT 400 million, while total number of securities is 31.50 million, according to statistics from the DSE.
