Maritime ports asked to hoist local cautionary signal No. 3

Dhaka, Bangladesh (BBN)- The met office Saturday asked the maritime ports in Chittagong and Cox's Bazar and Mongla to hoist local cautionary signal number three.

It has also advised all fishing boats and trawlers over the North Bay and deep sea to come close to the coast and proceed with caution till further notice.

A met office press statement said, southwest monsoon is moderate to strong over the north Bay and under its influence deep convection is taking place in the north Bay and adjoining coastal areas of Bangladesh.

Squally weather may affect the maritime port, the statement added.
