Mark Robinson appointed Citi South Asia chief

Dhaka, Bangladesh (BBN) – Mark Robinson has been appointed Chief Executive Officer of Citigroup South Asia. Based in Mumbai, he will lead Citi’s significant banking franchise in India, Sri Lanka and Bangladesh, and also join the Asia Pacific Executive Committee.

Robinson joined Citibank in 1984 and is a 24-year Citi veteran who has spent the majority of his career in emerging markets. He is currently President of Citibank ZAO, Citi Country Officer for Russia and Division Head for Russia, Ukraine and Kazakhstan.

Robinson is a graduate of the University of Chicago where he received his Bachelor of Arts and Masters in Business Administration.
