Tangail, Bangladesh (BBN)-Mawlana Bhashani Science and Technology University (MBSTU) in Tangail was closed for an indefinite period on Wednesday hours after killing of a BCL leader in a factional clash on the campus.
The university authorities in an emergency meeting decided to keep the university shut for an indefinite period to avoid further clash.
The male students were asked to vacate their halls by 10:00pm tonight while the female students will have to leave the campus by 10:00am Thursday morning.
ASK Mosharraf, a Masters student of the university who used to claim himself as the Bangladesh Chhatra League president of the university unit, was killed Wednesday afternoon in a factional clash of the BCL on the campus.
BCL is the student wing of the ruling Awami League.
Later police bring the situation under control, but the university authorities declared it closed for indefinite period fearing further escalation of the clash.
