Dhaka, Bangladesh (BBN)- The semifinals line up of the Pepsi Media Cricket settled as ATN News, Maasranga TV, Channel 24 and Channel i reached to the last four berths eliminating their respective rivals in the quarterfinals at the Moulana Bhasani National Hockey Stadium in the capital Dhaka on Friday.
Both the semifinals and final will be held on Saturday at the same venue.
In the day’s quarterfinal matches, ATN News (88/5) beat Inqilab (85/2) by three runs, Channel 24 (110/3) defeated New Age (74/3) by 36 runs, Maasranga TV (118/4) over powered Diganta TV (99/3) by 19 runs and Channel I (103/2) outclassed Ekushey TV (82/5) by 61 runs.
Bangladesh Sports Journalist Association (BSJA) president Syed M Mamoon, general secretary Saidur Rahman, hockey federation joint secretary Alamgir Kabir were, among others, present in the day’s event and distributed the prizes after match matches.
