Dhaka, Bangladesh (BBN)– A view exchange meeting between the editors of print and chiefs of electronic media and journalist leaders will be held at the National Press Club in the capital Dhaka on Sunday.
The meeting has been organized to make the journalist’s May 15 sit-in program a success, a press statement on Saturday.
Journalists will hold the sit-in program in front of Home Ministry on Tuesday demanding the arrest of the killers of slain journalists, including Sagor-Runi.
The program is also aimed at pressing for ensuring the safety of journalists while discharging their professional duties and freedom of mass media.
Leaders of Bangladesh Federal Union of journalists (BFUJ), Dhaka union of Journalists (DUJ) and Dhaka Reporters Unity (DRU) requested the editors and chiefs of electronic media to attend the meeting at 11am on the day.
