Dhaka, Bangladesh (BBN) – M.I. Cement factory Limited (Crown Cement) held its 17th Annual General Meeting (AGM) at Bashundhara Convention Center-2 in the capital Dhaka on Sunday.
Mohammed Jahangir Alam, chairman of the company, presided over the meeting. He described different success stories of the company along with inauguration of 4th production unit with additional 2800MT/day capacity.
The company has created goodwill beyond the national boundary, and has won Gold trophy for consecutive two years, he added.
“Shareholders appreciated the board of directors for declaration of 35 percent stock dividend and 15 percent cash dividend, and approved the declaration,” the company said in a press statement.
All other agenda including audited financial statements of the company for the year ended 30th June, 2011 appointment of new auditors for the year 2011-12 were approved, it added.
Mohammed Jahangir Alam and Alhaj Md. Khabiruddin Molla are reelected as Chairman and Managing Director respectively.
All other directors including Alamgir Kabir, Molla Mohammed Maznu, Mizanur Rahaman Molla, Almas Shimul, sponsor shareholders Allhaj Abdur Rouf, Asrafuzzaman and Chief Financial Officer Mukter Hossain Talukder were present in the meeting.
