Minister says Hajj flight starts September 17

Dhaka, Bangladesh (BBN) - The Hajj flight will start on September 17, Civil Aviation and Tourism Minister Muhammad Faruk Khan said on Thursday. 
The flight schedule to Saudi Arabia will be announced on August 12, he added.
Speaking as the chief guest at an Iftar Mahfil at a city hotel, the minister also said the government already took all out masseurs to complete the hajj flight operation smoothly as it is the moral responsibility of the government.
Biman Bangladesh will carry about 60,000 hajj pilgrims this year; to do the job, Biman has made all arrangements including leasing of aircrafts, the minister added.
The Hajj Agencies Association of Bangladesh (HAAB) organized the Iftar Mahfil, which was addressed, among others, by State Minister for Home Shamsul Haque Tuku.
