Kathmandu, Nepal (BBN)-A four-month old baby was rescued underneath rubble centered less than 50 miles from Kathmandu nearly 22 hours after a 7.8 magnitude earthquake rattled Nepal on April 25.
Katmandu Today, a Nepalese newspaper, photographed and wrote that the infant is in stable condition with initial examinations showing that he has no internal injuries.
The Nepalese Army had initially thought that the baby was dead and left the site, the newspaper added.
Hours later, when the baby cried, the army men heard it.
Then they came back and rescued it.
The earthquake and its aftershocks have turned one of the world’s most scenic regions into a panorama of devastation.
