Dhaka, Bangladesh (BBN)– A moderate earthquake shook different parts of the country including the capital Dhaka Friday evening.
The epicenter of the 5.3 magnitude tremor was Assam, India. The earthquake that shook the country at 6:41 pm (local time) lasted for a few seconds, according to the Bangladesh Meteorological Department.
In the capital, many buildings and structures were jolted while people made mad rush to the streets from their houses.
There were no immediate reports of casualty or damage from the earthquake.
