Month-long DITF begins Sunday

Dhaka, Bangladesh (BBN) - The month-long 17th Dhaka International Trade Fair (DITF) -2012 begins in the capital Dhaka on Sunday (January 1). 
The Ministry of Commerce and the Export Promotion Bureau (EPB) will jointly arrange the event at Bangabandhu International Conference Centre at Sher-e-Bangla Nagar. 
Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina will inaugurate the month-long fair on Sunday morning.
Commerce Minister GM Quader, chairman of the Parliamentary Standing Committee on Commerce Ministry ABM Abul Quasem and FBCCI president AK Azad will attend the inaugural session as special guests. 
Meanwhile, some 1,500 organizations have applied for 476 pavilions, while 13 countries for 43 stalls in the DITF, the organizers said on Tuesday.
