Dhaka, Bangladesh (BBN)- The National Moon Sighting Committee will meet on Sunday at the Islamic Foundation auditorium in Dhaka to review any news on sighting the moon of Shawal, which will mark the end of the Arabic month of Ramadan.
The meeting, which starts at 7:30 in the evening, will set the date for celebration of the Eid-ul-Fitr festival after reviewing news on moon sighting from across the country.
State Minister for Religious Affairs Md Shahjahan Miah will preside over the meeting.
Islamic Foundation director general Shamim Mohammad Afzal, also member secretary of the committee, will also attend the meet. All preparations have already been completed to this effect, the foundation officials said.
