Dhaka, Bangladesh (BBN) – The results of Secondary School Certificate (SSC) and its equivalent examinations were published on Saturday with 91.34 percent pass rate.  
 
A total of 1303,331 students out of 1426,923 came out successful in this year’s SSC and equivalent examinations.   
 
As many as 142,276 students secured the highest Grade Point Average (GPA-5) this year.
 
Education Minister Nurul Islam Nahid formally handed over a copy of the result to Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina at Gono Bhaban in the capital Dhaka this morning in presence of chairmen of all the boards, according to reports.
 
The pass rates of all eight general education boards are Dhaka Education Board 93.94 percent, Chittagong Board 91.94 percent, Comilla Board 89.92 percent, Jessore Board 92.19 percent, Sylhet Board 89.23 percent, Rajshahi Board 96.34 percent, Barisal Board 90.66 percent and Dinajpur Board 93.26 percent. 
 
Madrasah Education Board saw 89.25 percent pass rate while Technical Education Board witnessed 81.97 percent. 
 
The education minister will announce the results through a press briefing at the secretariat today afternoon. 
 
From 2:30pm, examinees can get their results from their respective centres, websites of their respective boards or from mobile phones through SMS.
