Myanmar (BBN)-Myanmar has called on the Bangladesh government to cooperate in clearing out Rohingya Solidarity Organisation (RSO) insurgents after attacks on a border post killed four policemen.

Border authorities from Myanmar and Bangladesh organised a meeting to discuss recent RSO attacks on Myanmar border outposts Wednesday, reports ELEVAN, a Myanmarese newspaper.

General Tin Ko Ko from Myanmar’s No. 1 border police force and personnel from the Bangladeshi border guard attended the meeting.

Myanmar has requested for the Bangladeshi authorities to help eliminate the insurgents and demands explanations over whether they might be backing the RSO rather than taking action against them.

The RSO attacked and ambushed a Myanmar border post on May 13 and 17.

Four policemen from a patrol team were killed in the attack.

Due to the successive attacks by the RSO, Myanmar military is currently safeguarding the boundary together with the patrol team.
