Cox’s Bazar, Bangladesh (BBN)-Myanmar authorities handed over Border Guard Bangladesh Nayek Abdur Razzak to BGB authorities following a flag meeting on Thursday, reports private television channel Independent tv.
On June 17, Myanmar Border Guard Police (BGP) have abducted Razzak along with his SMG near Jadimura area in the Naf River of Teknaf in Cox’s Bazar.
While abducting Razzak, the BGP members also shot a BGB member, Biplob.
Razzak’s return was the outcome of a flag meeting that was held between a BGB delegation and their Myanmar counterpart.
Earlier in the morning, a BGB delegation sat for a flag meeting with their Myanmar counterpart BGP in Maungdaw of Myanmar to bring back Nayek Razzak.
After the meeting, the BGP members handed over Nayek Razzak on completion of formalities, sources close to the meeting said.
