Dhaka, Bangladesh (BBN) – Syed Abu Naser Bukhtear Ahmed is appointed as the new chairman of the board of directors of Agrani Bank PLC.
The appointment was made under the 'Bank-Company Act, 1991, a circular of the Financial Institutions Division (FID) said today.
The Financial Institutions Division under the Ministry of Finance issued the circular, signed by deputy secretary Afsana Bilkis, asking authorities concerned to take necessary steps in this regard.
Naser, who previously served as a managing director of the bank, will hold the posts for three years from the day of his joining, the circular added.
Mr Ahmed is a farsighted banker and a master of banking reforms in Bangladesh.
With the proven track record of success in the management of banking operations, he has made significant contribution to banking development in the country.
