Dhaka, Bangladesh (BBN)- National Board of Revenue (NBR) starts the pre-budget consultation with trade bodies and business leaders on Sunday as part of its preparation to formulate the national budget for fiscal year (FY)- 2012-13.
“We expect that the trade bodies and business leaders would come up with specific proposals at the consultation meetings and NBR will duly consider these proposals during formulation of the new budget,” a NBR senior official said.
On the first day of the three-week consultation, the NBR will sit with the stakeholders of agriculture and poultry at 3:00pm and automobiles and transports at 4:00pm. 
Consultation with apparel, knitwear composite and packaging will be held at 11am, rubber-plastic at 3:00pm and hotel, restaurant, guesthouse at 4:00pm on April 4. 
The revenue authorities will talk to exporters who are not enjoying bond facilities at 10 am and oil, gas, food-beverage and cigarette at 11am on April 7. 
The NBR has invited stakeholders of computer, ICT and Telecommunication for consultation at 3:00pm and electronics and electrical at 4:00pm on April 9. 
Traders of jute, textile and cotton will sit with the NBR at 10am and medicine, clinic and diagnostic centres at 11 am on April 12.
Consultation with paper, printing, publication, cinema and advertisement will take place at 3:00pm and chemicals, paint varnish, leather, cosmetics, toiletries and jewellery at 4:00 pm on April 16 while SME and large industries at 10am and C&F, shipping, freight-forwarding, tax-lawyers and intenders at 11am on April 19. 
The NBR will sit with financial institutions, small-medium businesses at 11am and 20 major chambers at 2:00 pm on April 21.
