Dhaka, Bangladesh (BBN) – The voting for the Narayanganj City Corporation (NCC) election started Sunday morning with enthusiastic participation of voters.
People are seen queuing up in front of polling centres much before the voting started at 8:00am (local time), according to reports.
The maiden city corporation voting will continue till 4:00 pm and the day is a general holiday in Narayanganj.
Meanwhile, Bamgladesh Nationalist Party (BNP)-backed city corporation mayoral candidate Taimur Alam Khandaker pulled out of the race early Sunday saying things what began to change with the presence of musclemen, who took control of the entire city, forced him to quit.
