Nestlé, Dhaka University to conduct Nutrition Awareness Program

Dhaka, Bangladesh (BBN)- Nestlé Bangladesh Limited signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Institute of Nutrition and Food Science (INFS), University of Dhaka (DU) for conducting a 'Nutrition Awareness Program, which is a part of Nestle Healthy Kids Global Program.

In this connection Laurent Therond, Managing director of Nestlé Bangladesh Limited and Dr Md Nazrul Islam Khan, Professor of Institute of Nutrition and Food Science (INFS), University of Dhaka exchanging documents after signing an memorandum of understanding (MoU) of Nutrition Awareness Program on behalf of their respective organizations in the capital Dhaka on Monday.

This training module, jointly prepared by Nestle and Dr Md Nazrul Islam Khan, will be initially conducted in the schools of Gazipur district and will cover 1500 students this year.

Nestlé Bangladesh Limited has always taken active participation in sharing its Nutrition knowledge through Nutrition Experts with the Health professionals, general people and consumers of Bangladesh.

Since Nestlé started manufacturing its products in Bangladesh, the company has been involved in taking part in activities such as supply of clean drinking water for the village schools, Sanitation for the girl's students and distribution of computer in the village schools.
