Last updated: June 4, 2014

Dhaka, Bangladesh (BBN)-An eight-member delegation of Korea International Cooperation Agency (KOICA) arrived in Dhaka Tuesday to provide training with the aim of supporting the human resources development in Bangladesh.

The visit is a part of the World Friends Korea (WFK) programme, said a press statement of KOICA.

A key focus for these volunteers will be on developing capacity, sharing skills and building relationships in their respective assignments, the statement added.

The new volunteers will work in areas identified as priorities by the Bangladesh government organisations, including Korean language education, nursing, computer and social welfare.

The Resident Representative of KOICA Bangladesh Office, Kim Bok-Hee and other KOICA officials received the new volunteers at the airport.

They were taken to the Korean Embassy and accorded a warm welcome by the ambassador.
