Dhaka, Bangladesh (BBN)- The central bank has directed all banks, in and outside Dhaka city, to open their offices at 10am and continue till 6pm from Monday.
Friday and Saturday will be weekly holidays and there will be half an hour break from 2pm for prayer and lunch, the central bank said.
It said that the government in a bid to ease the traffic jam in the capital, Dhaka rescheduled the timings of all scheduled banks, including the Bangladesh Bank (BB).
As per government’s decision, the banks will remain open from 10am to 6pm in a week (Sunday to Thursday).
The BB said that the new timings will also be applicable for the banks, including BB, outside Dhaka city from tomorrow (Monday).
