Dhaka, Bangladesh (BBN)- The central bank of Bangladesh has added new nine sectors to its monthly import statement aiming to know the country’s actual import trend, officials said on Tuesday.
“We’ve included the sectors including power and energy in our import statement to know the import figure sector-wise,” a senior official the Bangladesh Bank (BB) said told BBN in Dhaka, adding that the number of sectors rose to 71 in the import statement from 65 previously.
The sectors are telecom, energy/power, ceramic, food processing, steel and engineering, healthy service, ship building, data processing and mobile phone.
